ABS Pumps Inc. Purchases CH&E Manufacturing Company
January 18, 2000

ABS Pumps Inc is pleased to announce the acquisition of 100% ownership in the US pump manufacturer, CH&E Pumps. The acquisition of CH&E is effective January 4, 2000. CH&E began manufacturing high quality engine driven pumps in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1908. To the marketplace, the CH&E name is synonymous with durability and reliability and known for their heavy-duty construction.

The pump models that CH&E offers, include both centrifugal and diaphragm pumps from 2” to 6” discharge, and from 3.5 to 50 horsepower. The acquisition of CH&E further expands the ABS product offering to the marketplace.

The CH&E operation will continue to manufacture the CH&E products at its existing Milwaukee facility, and its product line will continue to be sold through their current sales organization.

ABS Pumps is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sweden’s Cardo Group, a public company quoted on the Stockholm stock exchange.
